Welcome to my first ever blog! I must admit it took me a while to find something I wanted to share with you all, but I thought that by telling you guys all about my ‘Top 3’ locations for photoshoots, it would help you know a little bit more about me, and my style of photography!
1. The Beach

Having been fortunate enough to grow up in the beautiful county of Cornwall, I am no stranger to our spectacular coastline. It is definitely one of my favourite places to take photos for clients (and myself!), as I just love the big expanse of sea and sand. I love working with natural light, so this has to be one of favourite places to work with clients. Pictured above is one of my favourite photos that I have taken, during a shoot back in the Summer of 2020 along the North coast near Bude. The light was just perfect, as we shot just a couple of hours prior to sunset, which lead to some of my favourite photos that I have captured.
2. The Moors

I was lucky enough to head up onto the moors back in early January, and (especially in the winter) it is one of my favourite places to be. The wide open spaces are incredible, but there are so many small and beautiful details to capture too. I was lucky enough the capture some shots of the majestic highland cows that call the moors their home, and they were so relaxed! They didn’t seem to mind being models for an hour so, and were very calm when I was walking around, getting all sorts of angles and perspectives. I can’t wait to head back up there again, once it safe to be heading out away from home! (This photo above is actually available to purchase as a print! Head over to my Shop now!).
3. The Woods

In order to conclude my list, I must place the woods. This tends to offer a completely different photography scenario, than one would find at the beach or the moors. The beach and moorland may offer an abundance of light, but in the woods, you may find dappled patterns and shade. This can make for some really beautiful lighting scenarios when captured correctly, hence it is one of my favourite places to carry out shoots.
